At Legends Golf Center
we are committed to providing you with the best fit set of clubs you
have ever owned. When you participate in a fitting at Legends
we will work together, utilizing the latest in state of the art
technology to match the perfect set of clubs to your swing.
Many swing flaws are developed trying to adjust your swing to hit a
club that doesn't fit you properly. A custom fit set of irons,
woods, or putter will make a real and lasting improvement to your
game. Please take the time to stop in and talk to
us about how custom fit clubs will benefit your game and read
"What to expect during a club fitting" below for more info.

What to expect during a club fitting
During a club fitting at Legends Golf
Center we will put you through the following program.
Warm-up ~
Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before
your club fitting to properly warm up.
Golf Swing & Goals
~ Next we will analyze your
golf swing, discuss your goals and playing habits. This is an
important step in the club fitting process as it helps us to
determine where your game is and where you want it to go.
Current
Equipment ~ An analysis of your current equipment will
help us to determine swing flaws that you may have developed as a
result of poorly fit equipment.
Lie Angle &
Shaft Length ~ Next we need to determine the shaft length
and lie angle that fit your body and swing type. The Lie
Angle on a club is the angle measured from the bottom of the
head to the shaft. This angle must match your swing in order
to squarely contact the ground and the ball without twisting during
impact.
Launch Angle,
Spin Rate, & Clubhead Speed ~ This is a very cool
part of the fitting process. During this part of the process
we determine shaft material, shaft flex, head style, and loft.
Different head styles launch and spin the ball at different rates
and help achieve
the correct launch conditions which will greatly improve performance.
This is especially important when fitting for drivers and can make
a difference of 10 to 20 yards length on your drives and
a greatly increase accuracy. We
can even recommend the type of ball you should be playing.
Grip Size & Type ~
Just as important as any
other part of the fitting process is putting you into the correct
size grip. An incorrect grip size will result in a bad grip,
a bad swing, and grip discomfort.
Set Make Up ~
Putting together the proper set make up is the final step
in the fitting process. You no longer need to purchase a 3 -
PW iron set. Long irons can be replaced by easier to hit
hybrid clubs or high loft fairway woods and specialty wedges can really help
with your ability to
score around the green.
In all during the club fitting you will be fit for:
Lie Angle ~ Shaft Length ~ Shaft
Material ~ Shaft Flex
Grip Size ~ Grip Type ~ Driver Loft ~
Set Make Up
Head Style ~ Head Bias (Draw / Fade /
Neutral)
